Explore your neighborhood in Granada

If you want to feel at home somewhere, the best way to do that is to get to know the area where you live. This way, you can start finding your new favorite bar, the sports club you'll frequently go to, and the best shops for all your errands. Are you new to Student Experience Granada and do you want to explore the PTS neighborhood? No fuss: we'll help you get settled in no time!

Shops & grocery stores 

Did you run out of food? No worries, ‘cause there are many supermarkets close to Student Experience Granada. You'll find well-known chains like Carrefour within a 5-minute drive, or Mercadona within a 10-minute walk away from the complex.  

For those who like to kill two birds with one stone: we recommend that you visit the Nevada Shopping Mall. This huge shopping center has everything you need, ranging from supermarkets and clothing stores to IKEA and even a cinema! Shop 'till you drop and even catch a movie while you're there. You can get there in just one stop by metro or a few minutes by car, and with a new tunnel in the works, you'll soon be able to walk there. Fun fact: you can see Student Experience from the mall! 

Medical care 

Living in Granada means having easy access to essential services. You'll find pharmacies spread throughout the city, with the one in the Nevada Shopping Mall being the closest. If you're not feeling well, you can feel calm knowing that the hospital is opposite Student Experience. Not sure how the medical system in Spain works? We explain everything here.  

Sports 

Grenadians love sports, so there are many sports activities for you to do around Student Experience, whether as a participant or passionate spectator. At Club Núñez Blanca Zaidín, you can try out different sports activities, like gymnastics, dance, athletics, swimming, badminton, tennis, and football. Are you a student of iMUDS? Then you can play football or padel at the Campus Padel Club, right behind Student Experience. Want to watch a good football or basketball game? Head to Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes or Palacio Municipal de Deportes de Granada to catch some of the best matches around. 

Bars & restaurants 

In Granada, you'll find plenty of places offering mouthwatering tapas, delicious bites, and of course, great drinks. Close to Student Experience, you will find La Compañía and BOKA, which are the perfect spots to enjoy a meal and drink on one of the sunny terraces. Looking for the best burgers in town? In just a 7-minute bike ride, you arrive at Mumama, where you can eat burgers that hit the spot!  

These places have various options to satisfy your cravings and will surely make their way onto your list of go-to places. But, if you are eager to explore more, you can catch the bus or take the metro to Granada's city center or to the Nevada Shopping mall, where you'll find many, many more places to enjoy.
