Johan Verweij, founder of Student Experience, had a clear vision. He wanted to provide students from all around the world with top-notch, secure housing. This was a place he’d trust his children to live at and a place he would’ve wanted to live when he was a student. In 2015, this vision became a reality with the opening of the first Student Experience residence on the Zuidas of Amsterdam. The complex featured 800 modern, independent studios and a wide range of facilities, which quickly changed the landscape of the neighborhood and became an integral part of the local community. Students of Amsterdam finally had access to high-quality, functional accommodation at a prime location, where they could focus on their studies while enjoying student life to the max. 

In 2015, Amsterdam Amstel followed, with Amsterdam NDSM opening its doors in 2017 and Amsterdam Minervahaven in 2020. In 2023, the newest location in Leiden opened. As an independent property manager and developer, Student Experience has been offering students high-quality studios along with a multitude of facilities and services. Each location offers a unique experience where the safety and well-being of the residents are the priority. April 2023 marked a significant milestone when Student Experience opened its first international location in Madrid, Pozuelo. This exciting moment marked the start of the international expansion, putting Student Experience on track to offer high-quality services and top-notch accommodation to students all over the world. Our second international location, Granada, opened in July, 2024.
