So, you’ve settled into your studio and brought all your favorite accessories and trinkets to make the space feel homey. However, it still feels like there’s something missing…
No worries, the solution is simple! Bringing in some plants will pull everything together. Plants look incredibly cute in any interior and may offer health benefits as some of them are said to purify the air. If you’re new to being a plant parent or known for letting all of your plants die, this article is for you. We’ll share which (easy) plants are suited for your studio so they can live a long and happy life.
Before purchasing a plant, it’s essential to define what direction your windows are facing and where you want to place your plants. Depending on the window direction, some plants may thrive while others may not.

Snake plant
East & North. West & South but not directly against the window
The snake plant is an easy plant that loves the heat. Preferably, let the soil dry out between waterings. Did you forget to water it for two weeks? No problem!
Cactus
West & South
Cacti originally grew in deserts, which makes them strong plants that can handle heat and drought. You don’t need to water these too often. Just make sure that when you do, you thoroughly soak them. Also, offer them a bright spot in your studio.
Inch plant
West & East
This plant is known for its pretty green- and purple-colored leaves that multiply like crazy. It prefers to be watered about once a week (a glass or more depending on the size of your plant), but if you forget it once, they won’t mind.
Chinese money plant
East & North West & South but not directly against the window
This fun, quick-growing plant thrives in (indirect) sunlight. Water whenever the soil looks dry, and watch it grow big. A fun thing about this plant is that it grows babies from the roots, which you can easily repot and gift to a friend!
Areca Palm
West & South
This beauty will instantly give your studio a tropical feeling and quickly grow new palm leaves. If you’re looking for a big and beautiful plant for your sunny room, this is the one! Although it can handle some drought, keeping the soil a bit moist is smart.
Spider plant
East & North. West & South but not directly against the window
Don’t worry; this plant has nothing to do with attracting spiders into your studio. During summer, this plant produces flowers that grow into pups which you can repot and gift to friends. These pups look like (green) spiders – in the best way possible.

Monstera Monkey Mask
East & North. West & South but not directly against the window
This eye-catcher will do great in any studio but prefers not to be touched by direct sunlight. The Monstera Monkey Face doesn’t like to be overwatered, so if you forget them occasionally, they’ll thank you.
